The Small Agency Finance Committee consists of Finance Chiefs from about 90 small, independent federal agencies. The Committee aims to meet quarterly and may meet more frequently to address specific issues. The meetings are intended to address items of interest to the community and often include guest speakers. Like the "large" Chief Financial Officers Council, the Finance Committee serves as a forum for member agencies to discuss and coordinate the activities of the agencies of its members. Key topics include: consolidation and modernization of financial systems; improving quality of financial information, financial data and information standards; internal controls, legislation affecting financial operations and organizations; and any other financial management matter.

The Finance Committee is also:

1. an effective information forum to learn what is happening in the federal financial management arena,
2. a networking opportunity so that small agencies can meet each other and exchange ideas and best practices, and
3. an effective liaison with OMB and other oversight and policy setting entities, ensuring that small, independent agencies have a forum representing their interests.

The Committee Is Chaired by John Ascienzo of the U.S. International Trade Commission (contact information is provided below). The committee welcomes representatives of all members of the small agency council. A current list of Small Agency Council Member agencies is available.

The next Finance Committee meeting will be held on December 2, 2015 from 10 am to Noon at the U.S. International Trade Commission facility located at 500 E Street, SW, Washington, DC in Courtroom C.
